WEBINAR

November 14, 10:30-11:30 a.m. PST

On September 19, the Seattle City Council unanimously passed a secure scheduling ordinance that will regulate how large retail stores and food-service employers schedule workers working in Seattle. The ordinance will become effective on July 1, 2017.

Join Lane Powell and the Washington Retail Association on Monday, November 14 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. PST for Part One of our two-part webinar series surrounding the new scheduling ordinance. The series will address the 10 ways that the law will drastically change operations for large employers in the retail and restaurant industries, and will also detail strategies for compliance.

The following pressing issues will be covered during Part One of the webinar series:

  • Are you a covered employer?
  • What employees are covered?
  • How does this new scheduling ordinance work?
  • How does it affect nonunion and union employers differently?
  • How does this ordinance affect your existing CBA?
  • How do you meet the requirements of the ordinance, given your unique business operations?
  • What actions do you need to start working on now?
  • What actions are prohibited?
  • Can you get sued for failing to follow this new ordinance?
