Grant Degginger has been elected Chair of the Seattle Sports Commission (SSC) for 2022. SSC is a public-private partnership that works to attract and host premier sports events such as the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 2023. SSC serves as a resource to and for Seattle’s professional franchises, college and youth sports organizations, and venues. SSC also produces signature events, including the 85th Annual Sports Star of the Year Awards, the Women’s Leadership Breakfast, and the SSC Open Golf Tournament. SSC’s charitable non-profit, Empower Play, provides funding for youth sports in underserved communities.
