Andrew J. Gabel

ShareholderConstruction Team Co-Chair

Andrew Gabel is Co-Chair of Lane Powell’s Construction Practice Team. He represents design professionals, public and private owners, contractors, and product manufacturers in construction and real estate matters.

Andrew has handled complex construction litigation matters involving differing site conditions, delay claims, and design claims. He also serves as a strategic advisor at all stages of a project. Outside of the courtroom, Andrew is a prolific speaker on topics covering real estate, construction, dispute resolution, public works projects, and risk management.

Andrew earned his law degree from Gonzaga University, magna cum laude, and B.A. from the University of California, Riverside.

Successfully obtained complete dismissal on summary judgment of a multimillion dollar negligence and negligent misrepresentation claims against a design consultant by a subcontractor on a public works utility project.

Represented Sound Transit in prosecuting fraud and unfair business practices/Consumer Protection Act counterclaims against a subcontractor, and in defending against a multi-million dollar claim for additional compensation by the same subcontractor.
