Milo graduated with his B.A. from American University in 1973. He began practicing law three years later, after graduating from the University of Michigan in 1976. His legal career has included extensive experience litigating complex civil and corporate litigation in state and federal courts. Throughout the years, Milo has litigated and tried a wide variety of cases involving securities fraud, antitrust violations, corporate governance, health care, energy, and white-collar criminal defense.
Milo has been recognized as one of the Northwest’s leading antitrust and trade regulation attorneys, serving as both an advisor and litigator. He provided antitrust counsel to entities ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups, presenting solutions that establish compliance with the law without the loss of a competitive edge. Milo also served as lead counsel in numerous securities actions. He has represented public and private corporations, and individual officers and directors in class actions, derivative actions, and other corporate governance disputes.
Milo is a member of the Oregon State Bar Antitrust and Trade Regulation (former chair), Securities, Business Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Antitrust and Dispute Resolution Sections, Multnomah Bar Association, and the National Association of Corporate Directors. Milo was recently named “Portland Lawyer of the Year” in Antitrust law from Best Lawyers®. Throughout his career, he has been honored by numerous organizations, including Chambers® USA, AV Preeminent® in Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™, Benchmark Litigation, and The Best Lawyers in America©. Additionally, Thomson Reuters recognized Milo as “Oregon Super Lawyer” in Business Litigation and “Top 50 Oregon Super Lawyers” in Litigation.
