Kari Manlove has joined Lane Powell as an Associate on the Corporate, Securities and M&A, Intellectual Property Transactions, Nonprofit & Social Enterprise and Startups & Emerging Companies Teams in Seattle.
Manlove advises domestic and foreign nonprofit organizations and social enterprises on structure, governance, tax-exemption, compliance and transactions, with a special focus on the intersections of mission-driven and for-profit activities. She also counsels startups and other businesses through capital-raising transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and securities matters. In addition, Manlove is versed in technology-based transactions and contract law, providing guidance on license, proof of concept, reseller and distribution and other general services agreements.
Before attending law school, Manlove spent several years at a think tank in Washington, D.C. analyzing and advocating federal clean energy and climate change policies as well as facilitating policy-oriented dialogue among clean energy visionaries and industry leaders.
Manlove received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, and her B.A. in Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound.
