The zoo is served by a staff of 275 employees, 100-150 temporary staff and 750 volunteers.
As an advocate for a more sustainable world, Woodland Park Zoo is actively engaged in conservation activities around the world, focusing on habitat and species conservation, research, education, local capacity building and community support. The zoo also offers resources for children and educators, including professional development opportunities.
