Steve Winters authored an article in Seattle Business magazine’s October 2016 issue titled “Keeping It Confidential: How to Build a Better Nondisclosure Agreement.” Winters discusses the revolution of nondisclosure agreement (NDA) and what to consider when drafting an NDA.
One misconception is that NDAs must contain certain exclusions as to what constitutes confidential information. Although these exclusions commonly appear in most forms of NDA’s, no law or rule requires they be part of the agreement.
