Lane Powell Shareholder Gabi Sanchez will present a webinar titled “Marijuana Legalization and Long Term Care in Oregon: Policies and Procedures for Resident Rights and Resident Safety” at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 10. Now that Oregonians have voted to legalize usage of recreational marijuana beginning July 2015, long term care providers across the state are faced with changes to policies regarding marijuana usage for their residents. During this webinar, Sanchez will discuss what the legalization of recreational marijuana usage means for Oregon long term care facilities in regards to drug and alcohol usage policies for their residents, as well as how these policies can be enforced. The webinar will also review how federal law enforcement will affect Oregon and federally funded facilities.
