Lane Powell Attorneys Jeff Brecht and Gabi Sanchez will co-present an educational session titled “Marijuana Legalization and Long Term Care in Oregon: Policies and Procedures for Resident Rights and Resident Safety” at the Oregon Health Care Association’s 2015 Annual Convention and Trade Show from 10:15-11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15. During their presentation, Brecht and Sanchez will discuss what the legalization of recreational marijuana means for long term care providers across the state as they face changes to policies regarding marijuana usage for their residents. Ethical issues, resident rights, long term care regulations, policy enforcement and how federal law enforcement will effect Oregon and federally funded facilities will also be discussed.
