Chambers USA Recommends Lane Powell in Multiple Categories for 2016

Twenty-four attorneys and 11 practices were ranked in the 2016 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers in Business. 

Five Lane Powell attorneys were newly added to the rankings this year.  Chambers also listed two attorneys and one practice as “Recognised Practitioners.”

During the research process, Chambers received comments regarding Lane Powell’s practice teams, including the following:

  • “Excellent firm. They have high expertise; very customer-oriented and responsive.”

The Firm’s Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions Practice was also recommended for its “full-service resources to provide end-to-end support on commercial transactions.” The group’s “excellent reputation” was also highlighted, as well as its focus on finance, securities compliance and corporate governance issues.  Leading individuals named in this area include:  Michael E. The Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group was described as “well-regarded for its expertise across an array of IP strategy, litigation and enforcement matters.”  The group was also recommended for “representing growing and established businesses in relation to copyright, trademark, patent and trade secret issues.”  Leading individuals named in this category include: Brian G. Bodine (Washington) and Parna A. Mehrbani (Oregon).

Lane Powell’s Labor and Employment Practice Group was also described as a “well-regarded group providing high-quality counsel on employment law litigation and compliance.”  The group was also recognized for its “active employee benefits practice” and its experience in “collective bargaining agreements, unfair labor practice claims, and wage and hour disputes.” Leading individuals named in this category include: D. Michael Reilly (Washington), David G. Hosenpud (Oregon) and Peter C. Partnow (Alaska).

The Firm’s general Commercial Litigation Practice was recommended for its “well-reputed insurance defense practice with further expertise handling securities, healthcare and antitrust litigation.”  The group was also recognized for its proficiency in “product liability, construction and IP disputes” and is “well-regarded for its appellate practice.”  Leading individuals named in this category include: Rudy A.
