Wolfstone Quoted in PBJ Regarding Oregon B Corporations
Lane Powell Shareholder Jeff Wolfstone was quoted in an article titled “Benefit Corporations aim to promote sustainability” that appeared in the September 10 edition of Portland Business Journal’s (“PBJ”) “Sustainable Business Oregon” section. The article is about Benefit Corporations (or B Corps for short). In order to be able to use the B Corp brand, a corporation must meet certain criteria, including standards with respect to employment and compensation practices, governance and impact on the environment. Wolfstone said, “Oregon has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and has quite a focus on things sustainable. It’s an important place for things like B Corps to develop, whether they are actually labeled B Corps or not.” View the article (PDF).
