Jessica Walder has extensive experience representing clients in all manners of litigation and commercial disputes, including class actions, bet-the-company cases and other high-stake matters. Jessica currently serves as Co-Chair of the Class Actions Team, Co-Chair of the Electronic Discovery Team, and in the leadership of Lane Powell’s Women’s Initiative. She has experience at all stages of litigation from dispositive motion practice to managing the discovery process to first chairing federal jury trials. As Co-Chair of the Class Actions Team, Jessica serves on the Class Actions Panel and regularly consults on class action defense practice. In addition, as part of her work on the E-Discovery Team, Jessica regularly consults on discovery policies, protocols and litigation practice.

Jessica also maintains an active pro bono practice. She currently represents plaintiffs challenging the government’s failure to grant waivers as part of its Muslim Travel Ban. In addition, she also has co-authored pro bono amici briefs, including a Supreme Court amicus brief to protect the Endangered Species Act and amici briefs to the Ninth Circuit and Western District of Washington in the cases challenging the government’s first Muslim Travel Ban. In addition, Jessica is active in the community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Boyer Children’s Clinic and facilitates PEPS groups for new mothers.
Prior to joining Lane Powell, Jessica practiced in the Securities Litigation Department at Weil, Gotshal, and Manges LLP in New York. At Weil, Jessica defended some of the largest securities class actions during the height of the financial crisis, and earned Weil Pro Bono Service Awards for 2009-2012.
