Michelle Adams has joined Lane Powell as Counsel to the Firm on the Senior Living & Long Term Care and Commercial Litigation Teams.
Adams advises clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, health care transactions, and health care litigation. Adams brings to her practice years of experience working in the health care industry, both as a critical care nurse for several years and as an attorney.
Adams routinely provides counsel on a wide range of health care issues facing long term care providers including:
- Admission agreements;
- Management agreements;
- Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement;
- Fraud and abuse issues;
- Survey citations;
- HIPAA and other privacy issues; and
- Medical director and health care contracts.
Adams received her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, and her B.S.N. from Indiana University School of Nursing.
