Krista Hardwick and Carin Marney will present at the Idaho Health Care Association/Washington Health Care Association Fall Conference on Thursday, September 27.
Hardwick will present “Managing Drug Testing and Drug Policies in the Workplace,” and speak to long term care and senior living providers about recent changes to workplace drug testing rules, how current methods may expose companies to legal risk, how state laws may affect company decisions to test for drugs, and best practices affecting applicants and employees.
Marney will co-present "Survey and Enforcement, One Does NOT Have to Lead to the Other," and will discuss survey and enforcement developments, trends and updated regulations impacting heightened enforcement actions. Attendees will learn about timelines, requirements and things to consider with regard to enforcement action, and the processes that follow it including and up to IDR or IIDR; the collateral consequences of enforcement such as 5 Star rating, personal injury cases, civil monetary penalties and more; and ways providers can avoid enforcement action by creating a culture of survey readiness and compliance that is in operation 365 days per year.
The annual conference will bring together members of both the Washington Health Care Association and Idaho Health Care Association at the Historic Davenport Hotel in Spokane, Washington on September 26-28. |
