Neil Evans has joined Lane Powell as Counsel to the Firm in the Litigation Department. He provides litigation support for a number of the firm's teams, including Commercial Litigation; Investigations, Compliance and White Collar; Senior Living and Long Term Care; and Construction and Environmental.
For more than 30 years, Evans served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the Oregon U.S. Attorney’s office. His eclectic legal practice focused on affirmative civil litigation and criminal prosecutions, including white collar prosecutions, health care compliance and fraud, environmental matters and recovery of federal program funds on behalf of all federal agencies.
While serving with the Department of Justice, Evans litigated and mediated a wide variety of federal claims, led civil and criminal investigations of government program and procurement fraud, and managed large-scale financial investigations. His diverse capabilities have allowed him to work closely with all federal agencies and the State Attorney General’s office, providing sound legal advice regarding administrative, civil and criminal actions.
In addition to building upon his own sophisticated legal career, Evans helps guide young lawyers of tomorrow as an adjunct professor at Lewis & Clark Law School.
Evans received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkley.
