Lane Powell Shareholder Frank Paganelli was featured in a May 27 Law360 article titled “Lane Powell Nabs Corporate, Telecom, Enviro Pro in Seattle.” Paganelli is the most recent addition to our growing team of attorneys working with startups and emerging companies. The article discussed Paganelli’s extensive background acting as corporate counsel and business executive in the telecommunications and renewable energy sectors, as well as his reasons for joining Lane Powell.
He told Law360 on Wednesday that he is most excited to help expand the firm’s work in helping social impact companies get set up with investors.
“This is a growing area where investors are putting money into for-profit companies that have built into their company DNA a focus on not just financial returns, but on addressing one or more social concerns, and most of the companies I’ve worked with in the past fall into this category,” he said. “The area of defining these companies, how they should be invested in and how they should be structured is very up and coming and I’m looking to jump into that with both feet.”
He added that Seattle is filled with entrepreneurs, large foundations, family offices, and high net-worth individuals, making it a great place for building up a practice around matching social impact companies to capital.
