In re Vestas Wind Systems A/S Securities LitigationCase No. 3:2011cv00585U.S. District Court, District of Oregon We represent Henrik Nørremark, former Chief Financial Officer of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, in actions pending in the United States, India and Denmark, including allegations of securities fraud. In 2010, Vestas, which manufactures and sells wind turbines, restated its financial statements, resulting in a federal class action securities lawsuit in Oregon against Vestas and certain of its officers and directors, including Mr. Nørremark. The Court has approved a preliminary settlement in that case. Mr. Nørremark was also sued by Vestas in India in connection with payment of €15 million on a wind turbine project, and forgiveness of €5 million indebtedness to Vestas. Vestas raised similar claims in Denmark in connection with its termination of Mr. Nørremark’s severance agreement. Mr. Nørremark is also a defendant in a securities fraud claim in Denmark, similar to the U.S. claim. Although Mr. Nørremark has Indian and Danish counsel, we were asked by Mr. Nørremark and his insurer to coordinate his defense in the Indian and Danish proceedings, because of the complexity of the cases. |
