Carson R. Cooper and Cozette Tran-Caffee have been selected to serve as members of the 2016 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) class of Pathfinders.  This new program was designed to train early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies including programming on leadership and network development.

Lane Powell has been involved in LCLD for several years, supporting the organization’s mission to increase diversity in the legal profession, eliminate impediments and provide minorities and women with a full and fair opportunity to perform, succeed and lead.  Four of the Firm’s attorneys have participated in the LCLD Fellows Program, a landmark program that identifies, trains and advances the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.  In 2015, Lane Powell was recognized by LCLD as a “Top Performer” for being one of its most active members and supporting the organization’s mission to build a more open and diverse legal profession.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 240 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession.  The LCLD Pathfinder Program was piloted last year among a select number of LCLD member law firms and corporations. It is an initiative that has filled a gap in LCLD programming, targeting junior associates and the youngest members of corporate law departments.
