Areas of Practice

Parna Mehrbani practices all aspects of intellectual property law, including trademark, copyright, right of publicity, trade secret, licensing, all manner of intellectual property contracting and litigation. She also practices general commercial litigation. Parna manages Lane Powell’s trademark registration and enforcement practice, including trademark portfolios for both small and large companies. She is the trademark attorney responsible for prosecution, clearance and licensing of client’s trademark portfolios. World Trademark Review 1000 named Parna as a Leading Trademark Professional, describing her as “phenomenal at securing and protecting trademark rights, and educating content teams on their use,” and “popular among in-house counsel for her personable approach, strong work ethic and high-quality, comprehensive service.” She has an “ability to break down complicated legal jargon and explain things clearly and succinctly.”

  • Represented local apparel and consumer products company in trademark infringement and dilution action against local organization seeking to expand into consumer products market
  • Represented manufacturer, distributor and service provider of electronic test tools and software in suit involving alleged trademark infringement, false advertising and defamation; obtained favorable jury verdict on trademark infringement and false advertising claims
  • Represented global nutritional products company in suit involving alleged trademark infringement and breach of contract
  • Successfully defended designer, manufacturer, and retailer of maternity- and infant-related products in suit involving alleged trademark infringement
  • Regularly represents retailers in Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy arbitration proceedings against cybersquatters, resulting in ownership and transfer of domain names
