Bas Vanderzalm, President of Medical Teams International, wrote a letter thanking Lane Powell for its pro bono service. “As one of the largest non-profit organizations in Oregon, we interact with a large variety of businesses and for-profit companies. I can say without any reservation that Lane Powell PC ranks at the top of all the business groups with whom we have had contact in Oregon and the Portland area,” he wrote.

Lane Powell attorneys including Diane Butler, Elizabeth Crouse, Lorne Dauenhauer, Pilar French, Anne Glazer, Lewis Horowitz, Robert Koury, Benjamin Lenhart, Robert Maloney, Lee Nusich, Paul Ostroff and John Stevason have provided pro bono services to Medical Teams International for more than 15 years in the areas of corporate governance and registration, human resource policies, employment issues, international legal questions, real estate purchases and general legal advice.

“I have no question that the value of services provided to us by your firm has exceeded $100,000,” Vanderzalm wrote. “More importantly, I know that the quality of the services we have received are equal to those your staff provides to your best clients. We have always received the highest standard of legal advice in a timely manner. In fact, your staff have often consulted with us after normal working hours on their own time because they care about our work and want to do what they can to help us fulfill our mission.”

He goes on to say, “We have several retired distinguished lawyers from the Portland area on our board of directors. When these board members know that your firm is advising us on specific legal matters that have come to the attention of our board, they have always expressed full confidence in your firm and the quality of the advice we have received from you. That’s a high vote of confidence from those who know good legal advice when they see it.”
