Ko Elected WSB Tax Section President
Ada Ko was elected the President of the Tax Section of the Washington State Bar Association at the annual meeting of the Tax Section on June 1. The Tax Section is composed of approximately 600 lawyers. Its purpose is to further the knowledge of the Bar in areas of law involving federal, state and local taxation. As President, Ko is responsible for presiding at all meetings of the Tax Council and exercising the executive powers of the Tax Section. Ko will be responsible for overseeing the budget and finances of the Tax Section as well as monitoring the following committees of the Tax Section: Estate and Gift Tax; State and Local Tax; Transaction Tax; IRS Liaison; Legislative; International Tax; CLE; Pension Roundtable; Scholarship; and Website.
