Lane Powell Shareholder David Van’t Hof has been selected as a Pivotal Leader for 2010.  Van’t Hof and 31 others were hand-picked from a list of 600 nominees as entrepreneurial business leaders who have the knowledge, talent and business acumen to lead successful clean technology companies in the Northwest over the next three to five years.  Pivotal Leaders, which launched in February, is a community-nominated and peer-selected network of the top prospective clean technology business leaders with ties to the Northwest.

“The caliber of people who were selected for this inaugural list of Pivotal Leaders is truly outstanding,” said Gregg Semler, Managing Director of Pivotal Investments.  “These are the people who will lead the development of a sustainable economy based on clean technology in the Northwest.”

As a member of this prestigious network, Van’t Hof will have opportunities to collaborate and build relationships in the business community through social networking and private events with their peers and other business leaders around the Northwest.  Participation in the network will help these leaders connect with resources that will help them build successful companies, create jobs and further economic development in clean technology in the Northwest.

Van’t Hof is a member of Lane Powell’s Renewable Energy, Clean Tech and Sustainability and Climate Change Practice Groups.  He has worked in sustainability and clean technology throughout his career.  As the Sustainability Policy Advisor to Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski, he led the state’s participation in the Western Climate Initiative and in developing the state’s nationally recognized climate change and renewable energy policies.  Van’t Hof is also a frequent author and speaker on renewable energy, sustainability and green-building.

The news has hit many media outlets.  Sustainable Industries online posted a photo of Van’t Hof along with the entire list of Pivotal Leaders in an article titled “Pivotal Leaders supports local talent.”  PR Newswire published the list along with the press release that was distributed by the Pivotal Leaders Network.
