Ostroff Testifies Before Oregon House of Representatives
Paul Ostroff recently testified before the Business and Labor Committee of the Oregon House of Representatives concerning HB 2893, the employer “gag rule” legislation. Paul spoke on behalf of Associated Oregon Industries (“AOI”) against the bill. The bill would prohibit employers from communicating to employees its views on unions (as well as political and religious issues) unless the employee consented to the communication.
AOI is Oregon’s largest comprehensive businesses association. AOI has over 20,000 member companies, employing almost one third of the state’s private workforce. Lane Powell is a member of AOI and Paul serves on AOI’s Employment Practices Council. For more information on AOI, visit their website.
