The Equal Justice Coalition, in conjunction with the King County Bar Association, presented Brian Meenaghan with the Alliance for Equal Justice “Service to Justice Award” on Wednesday, October 11.

The Service to Justice Award is granted every two years to an attorney who has done something noteworthy to promote equal justice in his or her community. In Brian’s case, the award is being granted in recognition of his pro bono work for the King County Housing Justice Project, the King County Guardian Ad Litem Program, and the King County Volunteer Legal Services Program, through whom Lane Powell is currently involved in representing people who have been harmed by foreclosure rescue scams, an issue that has received much recent publicity in our community.
