Ungar Appointed as Lottery Commission Chair by Governor

Steven B. Ungar, Shareholder at Lane Powell, has been appointed by Governor Kulongoski to serve as Chair of the Oregon Lottery Commission.

“Ungar brings years of experience and expertise to the Lottery Commission,” said Governor Kulongoski. “I know he will serve Oregon well.”

“Steve Ungar’s legal experience and energetic participation as a Lottery Commissioner have helped the Lottery achieve record results this year. He will make an excellent Commission Chair,” said Lottery Director Dale Penn.

Ungar is also Chair of the White Collar Criminal Defense and Regulatory Compliance practice group at Lane Powell. His practice concentrates on defending individuals and companies facing governmental investigations and prosecutions. He also handles ongoing regulatory compliance matters for business clients.
