Ungar Quoted in Article on Mandatory Indemnification
In an article that appeared in a special law supplement to the August 25, 2006, edition of the Puget Sound Business Journal, “White-Collar Crime Does Pay–The Lawyers,” Steven Ungar weighed in on “mandatory indemnification,” which essentially provides separate counsel for individual executives facing legal action. With the rise of corporations being taken to court, some executives don’t even wait to become employees before hiring their own counsel to investigate the company. According to Steve, “subsequent negotiations often results in the company providing legal protection to these executives to match the risk being assumed.”
