Lane Powell President Lewis Horowitz was quoted in the December 18 edition of the Portland Business Journal in an article titled, “Mid-sized law firms show some surprising resilience.”  The article discusses the advantage that mid-sized law firms have in this down economy.  “We had a client that told us recently that their legal budget was cut by several million, therefore Lane Powell was going to see a lot more work, because the amount of legal work doesn’t change,” Lewis said.  He went on to say that he is confident Lane Powell will hold on to those clients after the economy improves, adding that “the model is much more reasonable pricing, and our lawyers are just as bright and just as well trained.”
