Firm Wins Summary Judgment Affirmation for Home Depot
Lane Powell client, Home Depot, received affirmation from the Ninth Circuit on a summary judgment in the case of Gabriela Harmon v. Home Depot, a sexual harassment case. The Plaintiff contended she had been sexually harassed by supervisors at the Tukwila store. Plaintiff’s counsel deposed ten witnesses, including ones in Atlanta. Days before Lane Powell’s D. Michael Reilly was set for the jury trial, Judge Coughenor granted a summary judgment motion, and Plaintiff appealed. The Ninth Circuit, including Judge Betty Fletcher, affirmed in an unanimous decision.
