Van’t Hof Joins Lane Powell’s Sustainability and Climate Change Group
David Van’t Hof has joined Lane Powell as a Shareholder in the Sustainability and Climate Change Practice Group, where his practice will focus on sustainability, renewable energy and green building.
Prior to joining Lane Powell, Van’t Hof was the Sustainability Policy Advisor for Gov. Ted Kulongoski’s office. As advisor to the Governor, Van’t Hof led the state’s participation in the Western Climate Initiative and in developing the state’s nationally recognized climate change and renewable energy policies. In private practice, he has advised clients on complex regulatory matters such as environmental and siting issues for projects including natural gas, wind and hydroelectric facilities. He also assisted a variety of public and private clients with the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, water rights and water quality issues.
Van’t Hof received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (cum laude) and his B.A. from Trinity College (Phi Beta Kappa).
