Areas of Practice

Matthew Wilson focuses his practice in the areas of intellectual property, transactions, business and corporate matters. Matthew’s experience includes complex intellectual property matters, trademark, clean technology, corporate finance, technology transfers, mergers and acquisitions, and entertainment law. Matthew advises clients on key issues including intellectual property strategy, venture financing, strategic alliances, branding and market growth. He serves as counsel to emerging and established companies in the technology, finance, investment banking, media and entertainment industries.

Matthew served as General Counsel for Chrome Systems, Inc., until its acquisition by DealerTrack, Inc. In May of 2005, Matthew completed the sale of Chrome to DealerTrack, which became a public company in December 2005, and continued to provide counsel to the DealerTrack Data Services business unit that included Chrome and Automotive Lease Guide and several other companies. In this role, he led a team that was responsible for licensing data and software products, as well as identifying and protecting intellectual property assets. In addition, Matthew served as adviser on a variety of corporate issues including: acquisitions, strategy, human resources, litigation and corporate governance. He was actively involved in the management of the companies and was instrumental in the development of strategic relationships.
