Pasternack and Vogt to Speak at Affordable Housing and Community Development Law Conference (Newport, R.I.)
Lane Powell Shareholder Alan Pasternack will co-chair the American Bar Association’s (“ABA”) Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law’s annual mid-year conference, which is scheduled for October 8-9, 2009, in Newport, R.I. The emphasis of the mid-year conference will be on tax credit programs and related community development topics other than housing — particularly, new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits and renewable energy tax credits. Pasternack has attended the Forum’s annual conference every year since 2000, and has been on panels discussing New Markets Tax Credits for the last three years.
In addition, Shareholder Carolyn Vogt will moderate a panel titled, “Tools for Green Development.” The panel will provide an update on state tax incentives for green development and environmental remediation, discuss the renewable energy potential of commercial buildings and describe the emerging concept of eco-districts.
