Ko Appointed IPBA Tax Committee Chair

Ada Ko was recently appointed to Chair the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (“IPBA”) Tax Committee at IPBA’s mid- year counsel meeting in Santiago, Chile. Ms. Ko’s term will run from May 2005 to May 2007.

With over 21 years experience, Ms. Ko advises domestic and international clients on various aspects of international business transactions. Her practice emphasizes the tax aspects of cross-border business operations and investment transactions.

Ms. Ko is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington School of Law for the Graduate Tax Program (Canada/U.S.Tax Issues). She is also Chair of the International Tax Committee for the Washington State Tax Council.

The IPBA is an international association of business and commercial lawyers with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. The IPBA was founded in April 1991, and has grown to become a pre-eminent organization in the area of Asia law and business with a membership of approximately 2,000 lawyers from 67 jurisdictions around the world.
