Rose Joins Lane Powell’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group
Filmore Rose has joined Lane Powell as Counsel to the Firm in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group, where he focuses his practice on tax, estate planning and tax-exempt organizations.
With 40 years of experience in the legal profession, Rose has practiced in California, New Mexico and Washington, D.C., and has extensive experience in legal issues including wealth transfer planning, probate, trust and estate administration, charitable gift planning, tax audits and appeals, formation and counseling of tax-exempt organizations, and business succession planning. Rose also handles selected federal and state income tax cases, particularly those involving charitable donations and trust and estate administration. Prior to joining Lane Powell, Rose worked as a tax and trusts and estates attorney for law firms in San Francisco and San Jose, Calif. He also worked for many years as a tax and estate planning attorney in Santa Fe, N.M., primarily with Rose, Kohl, Davenport & Dodds, where he was a named partner.
Rose is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and has an LL.M. in taxation from New York University. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Virginia.
