Lane Powell Sponsors Ponies On Parade
Lane Powell is the sponsor of a carousel pony to benefit the Northwest Center, a Seattle charity that works to improve the lives of persons with disabilities. The Firm’s decorative pony, designed by the grandson of a retired partner, will be displayed at the corner of 6th Avenue and Pike from November 20, 2004 to January 2005. It is one of 50 such ponies sponsored by downtown Seattle businesses that are part of the Wells Fargo Ponies on Parade project, covering an area spanning from Pioneer Square to the Denny Triangle.
Lane Powell partner Jane Nelson is a member of the board of DSA, which is behind the project. The DSA does valuable work to keep the neighborhood around Lane Powell’s Seattle office clean, safe and commercially successful. They also manage the Metropolitan Improvement District. Participation with the DSA and as part of the Wells Fargo Ponies On Parade program represent Lane Powell’s commitment to its downtown Seattle neighborhood.
