Lane Powell Announces Five New Partners
Seattle, WA – Lane Powell announces the promotion of five new partners to the Firm.
The following attorneys have been promoted to partner in the Seattle office:
Diane M. Butler concentrates her practice on business immigration and manages the firm’s immigration practice. Diane graduated with honors from the University of Wyoming in 1983. After spending time in Shanghai, China working for the Canadian law firm of Bull, Housser & Tupper, she received her law degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1992. Diane resides in Seattle.
Robert J. Guite concentrates his practice on employee benefits, ERISA litigation and class action litigation. He received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of Montana School of Law in 1995 where he served as managing editor of the Montana Law Review. Prior to joining Lane Powell, he was a judicial clerk to the Honorable W. William Leaphart of the Supreme Court of Montana. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Seattle University in 1992. Rob resides in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle.
Susan B. Jahnke focuses her practice on banking and bankruptcy. She received her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1995, and her B.A. from Washington State University, School of Business in 1989. Prior to joining Lane Powell, Susan was a law clerk for the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, Honorable Sidney C. Volinn and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Washington, Hon. Thomas T. Glover. Susan resides in the Wallingford area of Seattle.
Matthew J. Macario has a diverse civil practice, with an emphasis in securities, real estate, and construction litigation. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University School of Law in 1996, where he was Managing Editor of the Temple Law Review, and author of Punitive Damage Awards and Procedural Due Process in Products Liability Cases: Honda Motor Co. v. Oberg, 68 Temp. L. Rev. 409 (1995). He received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of California, Davis in 1992. Matt resides in West Seattle.
The following attorney has been promoted to partner in the Portland office:
Tanya Durkee focuses her practice on commercial litigation, including the areas of banking, antitrust and trade regulation, tort and consumer defense. Tanya earned her B.A. from University of Oregon and her J.D. from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College. She is proficient in Chinese and has lived and worked in China.
