First Portland-Area Facility Opened By Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic Celebrated With Groundbreaking Ceremony
PORTLAND, Ore. – Lorentz Bruun Construction announced the start of construction on The Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic’s first Portland-area facility by celebrating with a gold shovel groundbreaking ceremony on October 7, at the future clinic site located at 8935 S.E. Powell.
The new Rosewood Family Health Center will be owned and operated by the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, which is a non-profit health clinic association primarily serving low income and migrant workers, and will bring 25 new quality jobs to the Lents Neighborhood.
Lorentz Bruun Construction is leading the 2.9 million dollar project with legal assistance by Lane Powell .
“Of particular interest is the outstanding effort made by the City in assisting the permitting for this project. The level of cooperation signals the beginning of a new attitude by Government to help ease the development process within the City,” says Kelly Bruun, Lorentz Bruun Construction.
