Eight New Partners And Two Counsel To The Firm Named
Lane Powell announces the promotion of eight new partners and two new Counsel to the Firm in its Seattle, Portland and Anchorage offices.
Mary Jo Heston concentrates her practice on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues. She is a past United States Trustee, Region XVIII. She is also a board member of the Debtor Creditor Resource Committee of the American College of Bankruptcy Lawyers. She is a board member of St. John’s University/ABI Law Review and has been an adjunct professor of debtor creditor law at Seattle University since 1984. She received her B.S. (cum laude) from the University of Washington and her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Puget Sound.
Steve Jensen concentrates his practice on employment litigation. He received his B.A. from Iowa State University and his J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa.
Kimberly M. Meyers focuses her practice on labor and employment matters. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Denver and her J.D., summa cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law.
James E. Niemer concentrates his practice on construction disputes and professional liability. He received his B.A. from the University of Washington and his J.D. from Willamette University.
Gwendolyn C. Payton focuses her practice on intellectual property and commercial litigation. She has an active trial and appellate practice in the state and federal courts. She is a nationally recognized speaker on Internet law issues and is co-editor of Insights, Lane Powell’s internationally distributed newsletter, focusing on intellectual property and Internet law. She received her B.A. from the University of Chicago and her J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law.
Emilia L. Sweeney focuses her practice on commercial litigation. She is a regular speaker on the topic of product liability. She received her B.A. from the University of Puget Sound and her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Brian Zeringer focuses his practice on product liability. He received his B.A. from the University of Mississippi and his J.D. from Tulane University School of Law, where he was Notes Editor of the Tulane Law Review.
Robert G. Koury represents clients in all aspects of real estate services, including complex single-asset and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, financing, leasing and development of all types of commercial and residential property. He has broad experience in real estate leasing, representing both landlords and tenants. He received his B.A. from the University of Southern California and both his J.D. and M.B.A. from Willamette University.
Claire J. Philpott practices in the areas of corporate finance, banking, private equity, emerging companies, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate finance. She has counseled and represented start-up ventures, middle market companies and public companies, as well as investment banks and traditional lenders. Claire received her B.A. from the University of California, Davis and her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Brad E. Ambarian has been promoted to Counsel to the Firm in the Anchorage office where he has a business practice, with a strong background in corporate, real estate, and employment litigation. He received his B.A. from Western Washington University and both his J.D. and M.A. from the University of Minnesota.
