Areas of Practice

Jeremy Healey is a member of Lane Powell’s Labor and Employment Group and concentrates his practice on employment litigation and counseling. He defends clients against EEOC claims, discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment and wrongful termination claims, and wage and hour violations. Jeremy advises employers regarding federal and state employment laws, provides sexual harassment training, drafts employee handbooks and personnel policies, and prepares separation and release agreements. Jeremy has experience defending Fortune 500 employers in state and federal court, and also has significant experience defending employers in labor arbitration disputes.

In addition, Jeremy litigates ERISA and employee benefits issues. He represents employers, employee benefit plans, insured plans, insurers and administrators in actions involving disability, life, health benefit claims and actions seeking civil penalties under ERISA. Jeremy provides advice to ERISA plans, employers, fiduciaries and insurers regarding disability claims, health claims and civil enforcement actions.

Jeremy also works closely with his commercial litigation colleagues, including cases involving banking and lender liability, fair credit reporting, truth-in-lending and RESPA.
