Kate Spelman will serve as moderator for a panel discussion titled “Copyright: The Future Ain’t What It Used to Be” at the University of Kansas (KU) School of Law’s 29th Annual Media and the Law Seminar on Friday, April 29. The seminar will focus on the intersection of law and pop culture, discussing topics such as right of publicity issues related to NCAA athletes in video games and creative works, lessons to be learned from celebrity defamation and copyright cases, protecting free speech rights in the era of Internet lynch mobs and online harassment, and more.
