Kate Spelman will co-present “Copyright Advanced Session: Open Access and the Changing Ecosystem for Publishing and Research in a Sharing Economy” at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s 42nd Annual Intellectual Property Law Institute from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 21. The presentation will cover why content distribution has evolved to open access over the past two decades, how it works, the legal basis of open access, its categories, and its impact on business models and policies for publishers, research businesses and educational organizations.
