Areas of Practice
Alan Pasternack is a tax and business transactional attorney specializing in business and real estate transactions. Alan represents a variety of developers, non-profit organizations, and institutional investors in structuring, negotiating and documenting real estate transactions and advises clients on the tax and finance issues these transactions present. Such transactions include real estate development and investment ventures involving partnerships financed with government loans and grants, federal tax incentives, particularly low-income housing tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, new markets tax credits, and tax-exempt bonds, as well as conventional debt financing.
He also represents clients, and advises on tax and finance issues relating to mergers and acquisitions, transactions under the Uniform Commercial Code, and investments in real estate developments through limited liability companies and tenancies in common.
Alan also devotes time to representing owners and operators of restaurants and hotels in connection with liquor licensing and other general business matters.
