Areas of Practice
Steve McCarthy focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation. He has significant lead counsel experience on a variety of matters, including cases involving contract rights and obligations, creditors’ rights, construction lien disputes, contractor’s disputes, foreclosure and repossession, and lender liability. Steve also has significant experience in insurance coverage issues and insured representation, including matters involving construction defects, pollution, maritime and aviation.
Prior to joining Lane Powell, Steve worked in Oregon and California representing people and corporations in a variety of litigation matters in state and federal court. He also served as a Deputy District Attorney in Santa Clara County, Calif., where he tried a number of cases.
