Legal Update — IP Law and Audio (Shoreline, Wash.)
Lane Powell Counsel to the Firm Kevin Jablonski will present “Legal Update — IP Law and Audio” at the Audio Engineering Society’s Pacific Northwest Section Meeting on Wednesday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. During his presentation, Jablonski will discuss recently proposed legislation and changes to laws affecting the audio world. These topics will include: proposed legislation regarding music licensing recently embraced by the U.S. Copyright Office; Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank — is software still patentable?; and Marvin Gaye or Robin Thicke/Pharrell Williams/T.I. — the “Blurred Lines” of copyright infringement.
