SOLD OUT — SEMINAR: Auditing Compliance With Changing Overtime Laws — A Practical Workshop for Liberal Arts Majors Who Avoided Math Classes in College
Please join us on Thursday, May 29, for an afternoon presentation that will cover the current state of President Obama’s expansive overtime work rules and who they may impact. Learn about recent changes that may affect overtime calculations. We will provide you with the tools necessary for auditing your own wage and hour practices, and we will also address how to tackle complex overtime calculation scenarios. We will discuss best practices for employers who have misclassified workers as overtime exempt, what does and does not get put into the regular rate of pay, and how to handle overtime calculations for salaried non-exempt personnel or workers with alternative pay structures. Participants will also have the opportunity to dust off their high school math skills and put that knowledge to practical use in a hands-on workshop based on real-life scenarios.
This seminar, geared toward Employers, Managers, Human Resource Professionals and Corporate Counsel, is part of our ongoing Employment Law School For Managers® Series.
