Degginger to Speak at Wharton/Harvard Alumni Event (Seattle)
Grant Degginger, Shareholder and Chair of the Lane Powell Construction Litigation Practice Group and Mayor of Bellevue, will be a featured speaker at an alumni luncheon for the business schools at Wharton and Harvard on September 25, 2008.
Degginger will share his expertise and perspective with some of the area’s top leaders in business and real estate. He will cover the topics of construction, development, and Bellevue’s ability to sustain growth during economic challenges.
Among the key points he will make:
- Despite an unstable economy, quality projects will continue to get funded.
- Cities and communities must continue to invest in order to keep a highly educated workforce in the area and keep the local economy strong.
- With construction comes the need to support infrastructure and environmentally forward-thinking development.
- Development companies seeking LEED certifications must provide real value, giving customers the savings they expect with such designation.
