Bashford Joins Lane Powell’s Litigation Practice Group
Jonathon Bashford recently joined Lane Powell as an attorney in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group, where he will focus his practice on representing long term care providers, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted- and independent-living facilities, and other clients in the health care sector.
Prior to joining Lane Powell, Bashford was Assistant Attorney General for the Social and Health Services Division of the Washington Attorney General’s Office. He has extensive experience in Medicaid state plan and waiver programs, state rulemaking, regulatory enforcement, licensing, compliance, and complex litigation. He also practices in the areas of private duty nursing and nurse delegation law; Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Training (“EPSDT”) programs; state public benefits programs; the Americans with Disabilities Act; administrative procedure; guardianships and estates; the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act; and public records.
Bashford received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, and his B.A. in Sociology, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University.
