Lane Powell Sponsors Classroom Law Project’s 2013 Legal Citizen Dinner
Lane Powell sponsored the 2013 Legal Citizen Dinner, Classroom Law Project’s largest fundraiser of the year, on April 24 at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland. The annual Legal Citizen Dinner honors people in the legal community for their contribution to the common good. This year’s dinner honored Civic Educator of the Year, teacher Karen Rouse from Portland’s West Sylvan Middle School and Governor Ted Kulongoski. The Firm proudly supports the Classroom Law Project in their efforts to bring vital and engaging civics and law-related education programs into Oregon schools, teaching students at all grade levels the values and skills essential to being a participating citizen in our democracy. Earlier this year the Firm donated to the nonprofit organization to support the distribution to Oregon schools of a national publication regarding the importance of the court system and the role of lawyers.
