Susan Eggum was interviewed in a KGW News Channel 8 segment regarding former Portland Police Chief Derrick Foxworth signaling his intent to sue the city of Portland for racial discrimination. He claimed he was demoted because he is African-American and Angela Oswalt, the woman he had a relationship with, is white. The controversy started when Ms. Oswalt filed a tort claim with the city accusing Foxworth of abuse of power and sexual harassment. The city found evidence in support of one of eight allegations. Eggum was asked by News Channel 8 to comment on the seriousness of the former police chief’s potential case and what would happen if he decided to proceed with the claims. Watch the news interview.
