Innovation, Development and the In-House Patent Program

Lane Powell Shareholder Alan Minsk authored a December 10 Law360 article titled “Innovation, Development and the In-House Patent Program.” In the article, Minsk discussed the importance of in-house patent programs, how to create them successfully and how they can provide significant benefits to a business.

I have a different opinion, and in this article I hope to explain how a properly managed patent program can provide significant benefits to a business, even in the absence of licensing revenue or other direct monetization efforts.
