Current Issues in Washington Commercial Real Estate (Seattle)
Lane Powell attorneys Joe Lynam, Tim Jones, Andrew Gabel and Abe Lorber will speak at two upcoming seminars on November 7 and November 8, regarding “Current Issues in Washington Commercial Real Estate,” which is the 2012 Core Curriculum Course for Washington commercial real estate brokers. This is a course all Washington real estate brokers are required to take every two years to satisfy their licensing requirements, as set by the Washington State Department of Licensing. The presentations will be at the offices of Jones Lang LaSalle and Colliers in Seattle. The panel previously presented the course at a BOMA presentation on October 17, in downtown Seattle. The topics being discussed are selected by the Department of Licensing and include issues concerning property management, distressed sales and short sales, non-judicial and judicial foreclosure sales, the independent duty doctrine, third-party referrals, private transfer fees prohibition and the 2011 changes to Washington regulatory laws concerning real estate brokers.
